Amanda Goshey’s customer service made her a shoo-in for the Burleson’s second Employee of the Quarter award. The award encompassed nominations from parks, recreation, golf, and the library. Goshey is a reference public services librarian at the Burleson Public Library.
There’s a new sheriff in town
Johnson County got a new sheriff Thursday, for the day at least. Sheriff Bob Alford officially swore in Luke Lange, 9, as sheriff for a day. Lange’s father, Ben Lange, purchased the day for his son during a VIP auction held by the Chisholm Trail 100 Club in April.
