Greg Solomon is no longer president of the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce.
Guy James, chairman of the board of directors of the chamber, said in a statement Wednesday that Solomon has resigned effective immediately.
“We appreciate the leadership that Greg has provided over the past 10 years and wish him well in his future endeavors,” James said.
The chamber board of directors will form a search committee and begin the process of selecting a successor within the next few weeks, according to the statement.
Solomon served as president of the chamber since 1996. The chamber was named “National Chamber of the Year” in 1998 and 2002.
Solomon could not be reached for comment.
Chamber representative Holli Broadwater declined to comment and said she had no contact numbers for chamber Vice President Karen Yandell and director of communications Ashley Whisonant, who were at a Burleson leadership conference.
