An account to assist Burleson Police Sgt. Sean Bolton, who was injured in an off-duty accident April 19 in Florida, has been set up at Pinnacle Bank, formerly First State Bank Texas, at 651 N.E. Alsbury Blvd. The account is the Sean Bolton Emergency Fund. BPOA will also have a booth at Honeyfest on Saturday at Burleson’s Renfro Square.
A Sean Bolton Benefit Concert will held from noon to 9 p.m. May 18. At least seven bands are slated to perform, and guests can enjoy country and rock and roll styles of music.
Members of the Burleson Police Officers Association, Burleson Professional Firefighters Association, Burleson Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and the Burleson Police Department’s Citizens on Patrol will host the festivities.
The sergeant remains in the intensive care unit at a Florida hospital in critical but stable condition after injuries he suffered in a motorcycle accident. Bolton was vacationing in Florida when the accident occurred. A blog, www.seanbolton.blogspot.com, has been set up so his family can keep friends informed about the sergeant’s recovery.
Bolton has been with the Burleson Police Department since early 1996. He is the sergeant over the six-man traffic unit and is one of two motorcycle officers who started the traffic unit in December 2002.
For more information, call BPOA President Mike Owen at 817-739-5183.
