After a 2-3 start to the District 8-4A season, the Crowley Eagles stormed back to win eight of their last nine district games and earn a berth in the playoffs, concluding their regular season charge with a 7-2 road victory over Aledo on April 25 to earn the trip to the postseason.
Crowley’s five-run first inning helped overcome four errors in the game and the combined pitching of Kyle Reed, Blake Thomas,
Luis Vazquez and Brett Thomas allowed no more Aledo (17-13, 7-7) runs after the Bearcats plated two in the first.
Thomas and Tyler Wierzbicki each recorded doubles for the Eagles (16-8, 10-4), and Shawn Green reached on a triple,
Crowley had 15 hits in the game.

Weatherford 6
North Crowley 0

North Crowley managed only three hits in its season ending 6-0 loss to Weatherford on April 25, while committing three errors in the field.
Taylor Massey’s pitching confounded North Crowley bats on the way to the Panthers’ second loss in a row, while Weatherford (20-10, 11-5) entered the playoffs on a three-game winning streak.
The Panthers bats were similarly shut down in their first game against Weatherford on March 29.
North Crowley (8-21, 3-13) managed only four hits in a 8-2 defeat.
