Weekly e-mail shares tips with expectant parents, new parents, and grandparents

Texas Health Resources, one of the largest health systems in North Texas, now offers Oh Baby!, a free, weekly parenting e-mail.
Are you pregnant and curious about both the week-to-week development of your baby and local resources to help you prepare for parenthood? Do you want to learn tips to encourage your new baby’s development?
The e-mails cover the entire pregnancy through the child’s first year of life.
Topics discussed in the pregnancy e-mails include healthy eating, exercising, prenatal tests, and information to help during the hospital stay, to name a few.
Information for new parents and grandparents in the infancy e-mails include what position babies should sleep in, tips to develop healthy eating habits, and adapting to different child-rearing styles, along with information about developmental milestones.
In addition to general articles detailing the baby’s development, Oh Baby! subscribers may e-mail Texas Health employees to ask questions.
When signing up for the e-mail service, individuals may pick which Texas Health hospital to subscribe through.
Responses to any questions and information about classes or programs will focus on that specific hospital.
“Texas Health’s Oh Baby! weekly parenting e-mail is a great way for parents to stay informed throughout the pregnancy and early stages of their child’s life,” said Susie Morrison, a lactation consultant in women’s services at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne. “We are thrilled to offer individuals across North Texas this free resource.”
For more information, or to sign up for the service, visit www.TexasHealth.org/OhBaby.
