Randy Sheridan: The view behind the scenes not pretty

It seems we have been hearing an awful lot about behind the scenes stuff in the lives of people once held in high esteem.
From Washington’s closed door politics that had boasted it would be the most transparent administration to opened nightclubs hosting a living sport’s legend rapid descent in the poll of public opinion.
A tanked economy that continues to spiral downward as the capitol’s political leaders know little or nothing about balancing the nation’s checkbook.
Oh, that’s right, I almost forgot — most of them have never owned or managed a successful business, much less the nation’s budget.
The Nobel Peace Prize continues to lose credibility in the world community by making it a political popularity award.
The only problem is, they nominated someone who really hadn’t accomplished anything, only to present it to him almost a year later when his popularity has melted away faster than Al Gore’s Arctic ice cap.
More than 140 private jets flying global warming gurus into Copenhagen really did their part to stop the warming trend didn’t they?
As outed information from Climategate has come to the world’s attention, Mr. Gore and his cronies are in damage control mode but bent on simply telling more lies rather than owning up to the truth about the global warming farce.
Do we need cleaner energy? Sure.
But reason should be the shining star of the hour.
Instead, the all-out effort of going green globally reeks with political liberalism and hypocrisy.
It often sounds good to the casual observer, but a closer look at the real facts offers a stunning view of reality.
Our president seems bent on following Mr. Gore’s pied piper mentality and hoping everyone will blindly drink the Kool-Aid just because his chief of staff says its good stuff.
If the Kool-Aid is not to our liking, then look out — a dead fish may not be far behind.
Oh yeah, we are getting what some feared would happen, good old Chicago-style politics.
Either you march to the beat of their drum or get drummed out of town.
This White House has not been bashful, nor presidential for that matter, about calling out and ridiculing anyone who opposes their liberal agenda.
Having called on the carpet the fat-cat bankers, they came at the leader of the free world’s bidding to get a good tongue lashing from the now king of bully pulpits, Mr. Obama.
Who’s next on his lecture list, the Boy Scouts?
Speaking of the boys, who certainly wasn’t a scout — Tiger, Tiger, Tiger.
What were you thinking son? Obviously you were not.
You have been living a lie instead of the American dream. Now life has become a nightmare of your own making.
Invincibility is a fickle thing as you have found out.
Without a doubt, you have had too much idle time on your hands.
You have been a very busy, but very bad boy.
Perhaps you should have been playing in more golf tournaments after all and maybe stayed out of some of this unnecessary trouble.
If anyone knew about commitment, it was you.
You were committed to the success of the game only to fail miserably at commitment to your life partner.
It’s a life principle that applies to every aspect of one’s daily life.
Irreparable damage has been done — to your marriage, your legacy and the game of golf, and to the very concept of trust.
You were viewed as a squeaky clean, all-around good guy with a beautiful wife and family to match.
And you threw it all away for mere moments of temporary pleasure.
Well, apparently lots of moments as the mistresses continue to make a mad dash for the cash and their 15 minutes of fame on the gossip circuit.
Leave the game of golf behind as long as it takes for you to restore your marriage and rebuild the trust in your relationship.
Elin needs you more than golf needs you.
Take a sabbatical as long as necessary to begin the rebuilding process.
A real man admits his sins, takes full responsibility and graciously seeks professional help to move forward.
By the way Tiger, religion was never intended to be a crutch rather a vehicle of redemption. That’s God’s business.
And the naked truth is, you could use some redeeming about now.
