Everman doubles up Crowley

EVERMAN — Ryan Smith and Rueben Fletcher guided Everman to a 42-14 homecoming victory over Crowley with a pair of rushing touchdowns each on Friday night.
Crowley led 7-6 after the first quarter behind an Andre Dean 12-yard touchdown run.
Chris Franklin set up the Bulldogs for a 3-yard scoring run by Fletcher with a 73-yard kickoff return. Everman missed the extra point and trailed 7-6.
In the second quarter, Everman built a slight advantage behind a 24-yard field goal from Andrew Camacho and the first of Smith’s rushing touchdowns, from 25 yards out.
The Eagles scored on a 1-yard run from Chris Allen to cut the deficit to 16-14 going into the half.
Crowley did not score again for the rest of the game.
Franklin began the second half with a 74-yard kickoff return to set up the Bulldogs for a 33-yard field goal from Camacho.
Franklin then took a 50-yard punt return into the end zone to give Everman a 25-14 lead.
The ensuing two-point conversion made it 27-14 at the end of the third quarter.
In the fourth, the Bulldogs’ offense continued to roll as Smith scored his second rushing touchdown, from 60 yards out, to extend Everman’s advantage to 35-14 after the two-point conversion.
Fletcher ran the ball in from the 25 for his second rushing score to make the score 42-14 in favor of the Bulldogs.
Everman racked up 317 yards on the ground on 42 carries, while the Eagles amassed 200 on 39 carries.
Dean led the Crowley offense with 102 yards on the ground. Chris Allen had 53 yards on nine attempts and Cameron Prater pitched in 50 yards on two attempts.
For the Bulldogs, Smith led all rushers with 137 yards on 18 carries and Fletcher racked up 68 yards on nine carries.
Marcus McAdoo tossed four completions for 109 yards, while Franklin received 105 of those yards on three catches.
